This is my tenth year at Acero Roberto Clemente, and I am so proud to be a part of Lion's family!  Over the last 20 years in education, some experiences include General Education Teacher (4th, 7/8th), Diverse Learner Teacher (3-6th), Academic Interventionist (K-8th), and Case Manager.  I earned my Master’s in Special Education from Rockford College, LBS1 from St. Francis University, and taught English as a Second Language from Northeastern Illinois University. Most recently, I have earned the Director of Special Education Endorsement from National Louis University. My hopes and dreams are to continue building a strong program supporting diverse learners of all kinds and their families! I am a firm believer that social-emotional intelligence, mindfulness, and breathwork are game-changers to teaching and learning! Our school partners with Special Olympics as an inclusive practice for the whole child!

 

¡Este es mi décimo año en Acero Roberto Clemente y estoy muy orgulloso de ser parte de la familia de Lion! En los últimos 20 años en educación, algunas experiencias incluyen Maestro de educación general (4º, 7/8º), Maestro de aprendizaje diverso (3-6º), Intervencionista académico (K-8º) y Administrador de casos. Obtuve mi Maestría en Educación Especial de Rockford College, LBS1 de St. Francis University, y enseñé inglés como segundo idioma de Northeastern Illinois University. Más recientemente, obtuve el título de Director de Educación Especial de la Universidad Nacional de Louis. ¡Mis esperanzas y sueños son continuar construyendo un programa sólido que apoye a estudiantes diversos de todo tipo y sus familias! ¡Creo firmemente que la inteligencia socioemocional, la atención plena y el trabajo de respiración cambian las reglas del juego para la enseñanza y el aprendizaje! ¡Nuestra escuela se asocia con Olimpiadas Especiales como una práctica inclusiva para todo el niño!

Este es mi octavo año en Acero Roberto Clemente, ¡y estoy muy orgulloso de ser parte de la familia de Lion! Durante los últimos 17 años en educación, algunas experiencias incluyen maestro de educación general (4º, 7 / 8º), maestro de aprendizaje diverso (3º a 6º), intervencionista académico (kínder a 8º) y administrador de casos. Obtuve mi maestría en educación especial de Rockford College, LBS1 de St. Francis University y enseñé inglés como segundo idioma de Northeastern Illinois University. Más recientemente, obtuve el respaldo de Director de Educación Especial de la Universidad Nacional Louis. ¡Mis esperanzas y sueños son continuar construyendo un programa sólido que apoye a diversos estudiantes de todo tipo y sus familias!
