Dear Acero community members,
Welcome to the 2022-23 school year! We are so happy to see you, work together, learn together and move forward together this year.
It’s been a busy summer at Acero Schools. I am in awe of the incredible work that took place during summer break preparing our school communities for the new school year.
Acero Schools launched a 3-year strategic plan developed by collaborators from across the entire network. We participated in the 50th Anniversary of Fiesta Del Sol. Our staff graced the streets of the city and our school buildings with their smiling faces, ready to welcome new scholars and families to our learning communities. Our academic teams, educators and support staff have worked tirelessly to begin this year with purpose and joy, centered around the social and emotional health of the children we serve. We have expanded resources specific to Acero’s Pillars of Practice which provides the foundation of what we teach, support and value across our network. We cannot wait to continue to earn your trust and support this coming year!
Our teams are ready to welcome all community members back to our schools safely with a new safety plan. We are looking forward to once again returning at full capacity and will continue to practice safety measures and protocols to give every scholar equal access to a healthy learning environment. We know that these past couple of years have been challenging, with each day bringing new obstacles. However, we are confident in our ability to evolve our support systems to meet the needs of our scholars, staff and communities right where they are.
It is an absolute privilege to look back on a vibrant summer of progress and to begin this year filled with joy and optimism.

Estimados miembros de la comunidad Acero,
¡Bienvenido al año escolar 2022-23! Estamos muy felices de verlos, trabajar juntos, aprender juntos y avanzar juntos este año.
Ha sido un verano ocupado en Escuelas Acero. Estoy asombrado por el increíble trabajo que se llevó a cabo durante las vacaciones de verano, preparando a nuestras comunidades escolares para el nuevo año escolar.
Escuelas Acero lanzó un plan estratégico de 3 años desarrollado por colaboradores de toda la red. Participamos en el 50 Aniversario de la Fiesta Del Sol. Nuestro personal adornó las calles de la ciudad y nuestros edificios escolares con sus rostros sonrientes, listos para dar la bienvenida a nuevos estudiantes y familias a nuestras comunidades de aprendizaje. Nuestros equipos académicos, educadores y personal de apoyo han trabajado incansablemente para comenzar este año con propósito y alegría, centrados en la salud social y emocional de los niños a los que servimos. Hemos ampliado los recursos específicos de los Pilares de Práctica de Acero que proporcionan la base de lo que enseñamos, apoyamos y valoramos en toda nuestra red. ¡Estamos ansiosos por continuar ganándonos su confianza y apoyo este próximo año!
Nuestros equipos están listos para dar la bienvenida a todos los miembros de la comunidad a nuestras escuelas de manera segura con un nuevo plan de seguridad. Esperamos volver una vez más a plena capacidad y continuaremos practicando medidas y protocolos de seguridad para brindar a todos los estudiantes el mismo acceso a un entorno de aprendizaje saludable. Sabemos que estos últimos dos años han sido desafiantes, con cada día trayendo nuevos obstáculos. Sin embargo, confiamos en nuestra capacidad para hacer evolucionar nuestros sistemas de apoyo y satisfacer las necesidades de nuestros estudiantes, personal y comunidades.
Es un privilegio recordar un verano vibrante de progreso y comenzar este año lleno de alegría y optimismo.
